Life At The Island

Life At The Island

As we slip further in to December and people start the frantic rush to put up their Christmas trees, get ahead with their Christmas shopping and eat an abundance of mince pies, life has been going on almost as normal at The Island Residential Home.

The residents have been hiding from the rush and excitement of Christmas by keeping their head down and getting really creative this past week, with a lot of them channelling their inner Picasso and getting really arty. There was also some framing potpourri, which would actually make a beautiful Christmas gift!

Elsewhere in the home residents could be found creating beautiful posters or celebrating a well-deserved victory over finally finishing their 1000 piece puzzle.

Director Kuldish said:

“It’s been so wonderful to have a more chilled out week this week for both the staff and the residents. Everything feels as though it has been go-go-go as of late, so we are all treasuring these last precious days of rest before the Christmas madness sets in!”
